What is Community Supported Agriculture?

Paying members and volunteers support a grower to provide fresh produce for the table. Members pay to keep the land in good heart, not for vegetables per se, although they do get fresh produce and may benefit in many other ways, not least from bumper crops. The risks and unpredictable seasonal changes that face the grower are shared within the CSA community, likewise the abundance of a good year. Consumers can really see where their food is coming from and be assured of totally clean food free from pesticides and other toxins.
